Hi, everyone.
I don’t usually do this, but for July’s newsletter, I’m going to ask you to consider a donation to Messenger Films. We are currently producing a documentary called Daniel’s Garden as a follow-up to the feature film Let Me Have My Son. We have more shooting days to go, but the longer road by far is in post-production, which includes editing, sound design, and music.
The purpose of the documentary is to celebrate God’s faithfulness in bringing Daniel out of the psychiatric hospital and to encourage others with a story of the healing power of love. Please watch the preview video above for a “taste” of the project.
Messenger Films is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and giving to the ministry is easy to do. Go to our website at https://messengerfilms.com/donate/ and make your tax-deductible donation today. Note that you can make a one-time gift or contribute on a monthly basis.
We hope to raise $25,000 to complete the documentary.
If I may borrow a line from Blanche DuBois in A Streetcar Named Desire, “I have always depended on the kindness of strangers.” Not just strangers, of course. Family and friends, too. Generous souls along the way who have contributed financially to Messenger Films which, in turn, has allowed me to travel the world making movies for the glory of God.
I have profited little—as the world measures profit—from my filmmaking career. My chief satisfaction has been in creating stories of hope and beauty that point people toward God. I could never have done it alone.
Freely I have received… and now, it’s my great pleasure to freely give. I am happy to announce you can watch Let Me Have My Son free of charge on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-p55foufeA
